Affordable Housing

Our affordable lending options may help you purchase a home and stabilize your housing costs.

Fairway has affordable housing options available that may be able to help you with your home financing. If you are having trouble saving for a down payment or are interested in exploring what programs you may qualify for, we can help!

Homeward Edge

We know that saving for a down payment is often the biggest challenge when buying a home. That’s where Homeward Edge comes in. This unique financing program is designed to give qualified buyers a head start by providing a grant that covers up to 2% of the down payment, so buyers bring 1% of the purchase price to the closing table.

Program Highlights

  • Fairway contributes the lesser of 2% of the purchase price or $4,500 toward the down payment
  • This is a true grant (no repayment required).
  • Can be combined with the HomeReady VLIP $2,500 Credit (borrower income <=50% AMI).
  • Cannot be combined with any other Fairway incentive programs.
  • The borrower must contribute at least 1% of the downpayment (plus any remaining down payment needed to meet the minimum required borrower contribution).

Other Down Payment Assistance options Available

At Fairway, we are leading the way to ensure homeownership is accessible to all, no matter who you are and no matter where you live. We have over 70 state housing programs and over 400 local city and county down payment assistance programs that are carefully selected to fit the needs of our clients. You don't have to spend years saving. Many of these programs will cover most or all of your down payment, making getting into a home easier.
